Combining research, collaboration, and careful use of style to write a comprehensive proposal

I collaborated directly with my client to research, plan, and budget the development project they sought funding for. I also carefully combed through the Request for Proposal (RFP) put out by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). By focusing on the words and phrases they used over and over again, the proposal speaks to the NEH’s core values and goals for the grant funds.

Although this proposal is for an NEH grant, the RFP was extensive, and the end result is similar to many proposals for technical projects. The bulk of the proposal lies in the narrative, where I describe the significance of the project, the client’s current conditions, the methods of the project team, and the proposed work plan.
